Southside Place is a city in west central Harris County. As of the 2000 census, Southside Place was the 13th wealthiest location in Texas per capita income. Southside was established in 1925 and it mostly functions as a bedroom community for middle and upper-middle class families. Prices range from the $600,000s up to $2,000,000s. Southside Place has park and pool facilities that are operated by the Southside Place Park Association. They include tennis courts, a baseball field, basketball court and a clubhouse. The park, field and basketball court are open for public use. The park has been instrumental in giving Southsiders the satisfaction of knowing and working with their neighbors, thus creating a friendly and unique community within the bustle of the metropolis.
